SUPERNATURAL: ANGELS PART 3

DO NOT FORGET TO ENTERTAIN STRANGERS

We started a series on the supernatural; we talked about angels, how they work and how to put them to work. It is the legal right of every believer to enjoy the services of Angels, not just for apostles or prophets but for every child of God.

Years ago I started a teaching meeting; we called it “PHOS”. On the first day of the meeting only 3 people came for the program (two where friends who just came to support me, and a boy who saw the publicity). I made publicity in several secondary schools; I rented a classroom to use for the meeting.

So I started teaching that day, basically for me I knew I was teaching just that one boy because two of my friends only came to help out. But for me I thought the Word that day like I was talking to a million people. (AM SO SURE IT WAS IN THAT MEETING THAT THE LORD GAVE ME THE TEACHING ANOINTING).  After teaching that day the boy (his name is Pascal) he gave his life to Christ.

Few days later he had an angelic encounter that changed his life forever. All am trying to say is every believer ought to enjoy the ministration of angels, not just apostles or prophets.

DO NOT FORGET TO ENTERTAIN STRANGERS.

1 Let brotherly love continue.

2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

Hebrews 13:1-2

We are admonish to entertain strangers, because by doing so some have entertained angels unknowingly. What this means is that angels have the ability to show up in human bodies.

Now not everybody you see on the road is a normal human being, some are angels. Let’s look at the case of Abraham:

2 And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground,

Genesis 18:2

Abraham saw three men walking, but Abraham sensed it in his spirit that this where not ordinary men (last time we talked about the gift of discerning of spirits). So he decided to entertain them, if you continue to read that chapter you would discover that those men where not just ordinary men, and again the encounter Abraham had with them changed his life forever.

Most Christians have not been thought how to render any form of help to anybody, they wake up every day looking for who to help them but not looking for who they should help. (I WAKE UP EVERY MORNING PRAYING TO BE A BLESSING TO SOMEBODY THAT DAY)

I have come to discover there are more stingy believers than stingy unbelievers; even pastors of this generation no longer know how to help again. Don’t forget the bible calls Abraham a prophet yet he had the sense of helping people.

Now some people would say if I see angels I will entertain them, remember these angels will not show up with wings and white bright cloths but like every other human. So if you don’t know how to be kind to people you may miss you angelic visitation when it comes.

Again on Gods ranking humans are ahead of angels, God said let us make man in our own image and likeness, now angels were not made in the image and likeness of God. One verse of the bible that might be aliitle confusing on this is psalms 8:5

5   For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

In the original Hebrew it reads “for thou hast made him a little lower than elohim” the word elohim is the plural for God in the Hebrew. So man is made a little lower than God not the angels.

So when you render help to humans is like thou you doing it to Jesus.

42   For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:

43   I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.

44   Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

45   Then shall he answer them, saying, verily I say unto you, In as much as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

Matt 25:42-45

One of the biggest problem of the church is that we don’t know how to use money. The devil has succeeded in deceiving us that prosperity is not of God, and most of those who are prosperous  in church are stingy.

I was in a church last week and I was teaching on the purpose of money. I call it “money on a mission”

8   And the lord commended the unjust steward, because he had done wisely: for the children of t his world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.

9   And I say unto you, Make to yourselves friends of the mammon of unrighteousness; that, when ye fail, they may receive you into everlasting habitations.

Luke 16:8

This was a story of a steward who was reported to his master for wasting his masters goods, he was found guilty and was sent out of his master house.

So he went to all his masters debtors, the one that was owning 100 measure of oil he asked the person to pay 50, the one owning 50 he asked to pay 30.  Note the master commended the servant but didn't condemned him, because he knew how to use money to make friends for himself.

We should use our money to gain effluence by helping other people who don’t have. LET BROTHELY LOVE CONTINUE.

ANGELS ARE NOT BE WORSHIPPED.

18   Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

Colo 2:18

Angels are not to be worshiped, only God the father, the son and the Holy Ghost are to be worshiped.

Sometimes the Holy Spirit is called the angel of his presence.

9   In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.

Isaiah 63:9

Lets see the story of Joshua:  

13   And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?

14   And he said, Nay; but as captain of the host of the LORD am I now come. And Joshua fell on his face to the earth, and did worship, and said unto him, What saith my lord unto his servant?

15   And the captain of the LORD'S host said unto Joshua, Loose thy shoe from off thy foot; for the place whereon thou standest is holy. And Joshua did so.

Joshua 5:13

It’s so clear that the person Joshua saw here was not just an angel but the lord Himself. And Joshua worshipped him.

10   And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

Revelation 19:10

John had an encounter with an angel, and he wanted to worship the angel but the angel refused. Even angels know they are not to be worshipped. God only is to be worshipped.
